Shady Garden
Shady Garden
The existing garden is small and south-west facing with very little planting. A large London plane tree (Platanus x hispanica) overshadows the garden making it fairly shady.
The clients wanted to breathe life into the garden by reducing the existing decking and clearing the pebbles to introduce some wildflowers and colour. They wanted to retain a seating area and a storage unit.
We have redesigned the garden, specifying shady planting for below the tree and a wildflower turf to replace the grey timber decking. The seating area sits on circular stone tiling within the meadow.
