Potted Cottage Garden in Sydenham

The client in this semi detouched 30's property in south London approached us in order to help combine the memories of the cottage garden they grew up in with their memories of spending summers in Paros.

Since the condition of the soil didn't allow for direct planting, the garden was covered with gravel and terracotta pots were used for all the plants.

The fences were painted the vibrant greek blue of doors, shutters and furniture found in Paros, and hard surfaces were white limewashed as seen in Greece.
